Droid Phone Helping Beat AT&T

While AT&T is expecting some impressive new quarterly revenues with help from Apple Inc.with their AT&T driven products Kindle Reader and the iPhone, the Droid Motorola phone offered by Verizon is allowing the competition gap to start closing in.

While the iPhone sales still will be higher than the Droid phone in quarterly sales, the Droid is still looking at an impressive 1 million sales of it’s phones for the first quarter.

What I find exciting about this news is that we will obviously be seeing many new phone technologies emerge to keep a competitive lead from the manufacturers and better deals down the road by the carriers. That is gravy as it can get for smartphone fans!

As long as Verizon and AT&T battle, we all should ultimately be looting the spoils of this war. Whole family plans with free smartphones, I think it may be our future. What do you think?

Android Business Users Lash Out

Android Phones for Business?

With the release of the new Android line of smartphones, mainly the Motorola Droid available through Verizon wireless talk has been big. Well that talk includes a blog post by David Coursey of  PCWorld.com which has had some Android business users up in arms defending their new devices.

The blog titled “Android for Business? 5 Reasons to Think Again” has caused some harsh posts from blog readers, and it shows that the online world can be a very vicious territory, especially if you throw perceived negative feedback at a new popular product.

I feel that Mr. Coursey was simply making some observances of potential pitfalls of making a quick and rash decision like trading in your iPhone or BlackBerry without making some close observances and assessments. If you ask me, he was giving some logical advice that any smart business owner would consider and like to be informed of.

Well, it looks like the verdict may be in with the Android phones despite any nay saying.  There seems to be a lot of content business owners that are right now utilizing Android phones in the workplace and distributing to their employees. Just see their comments for yourself.

Cell Phones – Watch Cell Phones Cook an Egg and Popcorn

Okay, so before you watch this video and panic, not all cell phones in this video are as radioactive as the one you may be holding, especially the newer models. I will be updating this post with the more safe phones in some time. In general, the rule of thumb is to find a cell phone with a low SAR rating. I will be posting cell phone models that are the lowest in this rating to help you out, for now just know that this is the deal with this video. I still don’t know if this works like they show on the video, but it can be discouraging for any regular cell phone user. I will get back to you all with that list as I compile it.

Cellular & Mobile Phones: How Safe Is Your Cell Phone?

Wow, so while I sell you these devices (cell phones) I also feel that I am obligated to always share useful information to protect the consumer (you). I was somewhat amazed to see this video. I cannot vouch for it’s authenticity in reporting and facts but all the same think it should be watched, especially if it’s true. If anyone has verified facts with links to scientific data on this video subject matter, please comment this post.

Notice they mention older cell phone models but do not exclude today’s more modern smartphones. They claim because our smartphones are all made in China that our safety is at risk due to lack of regulation. Again, if you have relative information, please post!
