Will New Cell Phone Radiation Law Affect Sales?
How Will San Francisco’s Cell Phone Law Change Sales?
San Francisco’s board of supervisors have just passed a law requiring manufacturers of cell phones to display the levels of radiation emitted from the devices. This will be the first time a ordinance of this magnitude has been passed that actually may affect the mobile phone industry negatively.
Unlike the driving laws that were passed, this law targets the way the phones are designed. The mobile industry has every right to be worried. California and San Francisco have been known to pass laws that eventually translate into a Nationwide following.
I believe this law is actually good for consumer rights and the cell phone manufacturers. This will force the cell phone companies to create “safer” designs and perhaps put a boost into newer technologies that can pass down to our laptop screens, our television sets, and other electronic devices. While studies are inconclusive on the health risks, if consumers are going to be putting something against their bodies for over 12 hours a day, they should know the magnitude of emissions, I believe.
Some argue that this new law will confuse consumers more than inform. I think these fears are unfounded though. Have consumers reduced their use of motorized vehicles due to the fact our planet very well could end because of it, our very existence? Have smokers quit smoking because of the warnings on the packaging? Have people quit buying toys with chocking hazards in their house because one of the children are a toddler? NO.
The immediate effect of this law however does not look too appetizing for stock holders or the companies manufacturing the cell phones (short-term 2 years). Long-term should be business as usual in my opinion though.
So the question is:
Will Consumers be Bold and Ignore These Posted Radiation Levels?
Will The Current Radiation Reducing Devices Sold Online See a Boost in Sales?
Will The Industry Be Forced to Start Adopting New Radiation Reduction Technologies?
What is your opinion about the new cell phone law? We would love to hear about it! Post your responses here. There is no need to sign up to post on this blog.

Wireless Cell Phone – Buying Wireless Phones
Wireless Cell Phone Shopping Tips
So not owning a wireless cell phone seems almost foreign to many these days, however, finding the right phone for many still seems to be something that not many are able to completely figure out when it comes to satisfaction. Here are some tips to help you find the cell phone that is right for you.
Find the right carrier FIRST! Your wireless phone in regards to call, text, and Internet reception can only be optimal with the right coverage. Talk with friends and family on the provider they use the most for your area. Even better, go to a local cell phone shop and see what the sales people on the floor use for their own personal wireless carrier and ask them why.
Realize why you want to use the phone and what you want to use it for. Phones these days have so many functions that you will probably never just end up using your phone for just talking. If you text a lot it will be more convenient and time saving to have a Qwerty board. If you surf the Internet on your wireless phone, a larger sized screen will make sense for your sanity and eyes.
Another function that may be just as important as anything above is where you bring your phone as well. If you do a lot of outdoor jogging or work outdoors in a rugged environment, you will want a shock absorbent phone that can handle the abuse of the occasional fall or even accidental stomp.
Battery life is another concern you will want to address. If you are away from outlets a lot, you will need to make sure you have a phone that has a good amount of battery life. Most phones have their battery life stats on their boxes, displays, and online descriptions.
Form and function count when it comes to a wireless cell phone. Make sure the phone has buttons and navigation that are easy to use.

T1 Lines: Some Common Uses for a T1 Line
If You Ever Wondered What Uses a T1 Line Might Have for Your Business, This May Give You Some Insight Into How One May Help Your Business.
Well by now many of you reading this may know what a T1 line is, but many may not know exactly what the uses are for a T1 or how it may be applied to their everyday business functions. Hopefully after reading this you will have gained some insight into how you can implement this technology into your business and boost your own productivity.
1. Domain Server Hosting – Some online businesses like to host their own domains and control their own security and features from their own servers. An Internet T1 becomes a prime choice for these type of companies with these requirements due to uptime reliability often associated with a reputable T1 service provider. Speed and capacity are great, but the reliability factor makes it the perfect choice for any domain being hosted in-house.
2. Private Data Transfer – Many businesses like to host their servers for their own private access data that is only shared between other branches. This type of data can be anything from real-time collaboration of files and video (video conferencing) as well as share that data with other connected servers for customer service such as customer credit card information or other personal details. This type of secure T1 connection would be considered a point-to-point.
3. Financial Transactions – Grocery stores, clothing stores, auto shops, and anything between can become a bustling grove of activity at any given moment. When you have many customers at once using their ATM cards and credit cards for purchases you need a reliable and fast pipeline to send the data to the merchant accounts. Keeping this flow allows your business to clear the way as soon as possible for the next customer to keep the purchase revenues running smoothly. This is a prime example of a T1 line displaying an ROI.
4. Outbound Call Centers – While often associated with the Internet, a voice T1 is a popular product used for busy outbound call centers with the need for multiple phone lines running from the same physical location. One primary telecommunication expense with outbound call centers is the cost of long distance. The high costs of long distance can be slashed with high volume call centers. Another way voice can be used with a T1 line and save a business money is actually through the Internet when deploying VoIP/SIP technology.
5. Customer Service Centers – Business centers requiring immediate access to phone services and Internet or data centers for transactions commonly utilize integrated solutions such as integrated T1 lines. This allows for simultaneous traffic from both PBX and Ethernet switches so calls may be taken while operators also access information from their computers to assist customers.
