Cell Phone Cancer Law?
Maine Considers It …
It has been a subject of much debate between scientists, health advocates, and concerned consumers. While the hype seems to have died out over the last decade, it looks like this debate is getting it’s second wind thanks to Maine’s Andrea Boland who says there are more than enough studies to prove a significant cancer risk to users of cell phones.
Maine is not alone in the quest to have warnings for cell phone radiation emissions. Mayor Gavin Newson of San Francisco, CA wants to also have warnings at the point of purchase in his city.
In my opinion, if there is even a potential risk, the consumer should be warned. The wireless industry is no doubt going to lobby against this, yet I think it would be better for their public relations to encourage consumer safety by simply letting this one go as a precaution. If it does indeed prove one day that cell phones cause cancer, the big cell phone manufacturers will have the worst backlash imaginable, especially if they fought to keep the public uninformed.
In closing, I think us consumers will continue to use cell phones regardless, as long as they don’t make you stink or yellow your teeth like cigarettes.

Android Business Users Lash Out
Android Phones for Business?
With the release of the new Android line of smartphones, mainly the Motorola Droid available through Verizon wireless talk has been big. Well that talk includes a blog post by David Coursey of PCWorld.com which has had some Android business users up in arms defending their new devices.
The blog titled “Android for Business? 5 Reasons to Think Again” has caused some harsh posts from blog readers, and it shows that the online world can be a very vicious territory, especially if you throw perceived negative feedback at a new popular product.
I feel that Mr. Coursey was simply making some observances of potential pitfalls of making a quick and rash decision like trading in your iPhone or BlackBerry without making some close observances and assessments. If you ask me, he was giving some logical advice that any smart business owner would consider and like to be informed of.
Well, it looks like the verdict may be in with the Android phones despite any nay saying. There seems to be a lot of content business owners that are right now utilizing Android phones in the workplace and distributing to their employees. Just see their comments for yourself.

Tweet to Another Planet
Are we tweeting alone? Can we Tweet to UFO Aliens? YES!!! Maybe …
We all know of Twitter and the importance or the lack thereof of tweets/tweeting. Well tweets can now possibly make a significant impact on the future of our interaction with an alien species.
The site HelloFromEarth.Net is allowing everyday people like you and me to post 160 character long tweets to the planet Gliese 581 D that may or may not contain advanced life forms. There is a deadline to this opportunity. 5pm Monday 24 August 2009 Sydney time.
All tweets that are approved will be sent on a 20 year long journey through space until the targeted planet receives the transmission. Longer than the average RT or @ response, we shouldn’t expect a reply for over 40 years. Of course there is no guarantee of life or their ability to communicate with us.
The event is being run by the magazine Cosmos. In addition they are also giving away 500 free magazine subscriptions with those that post a tweet. The tweets are all moderated and do NOT allow URLs, email addresses, or HTML in the attempted contact with the alien planet. If you think you can leak in a lame comment to antagonize from beyond our solar system, think again.
To post your tweets to potential alien friends or foes go to http://hellofromearth.net
I have to admit, I was pretty excited and already did tweet posts on Twitter to spread the word. If you missed it, feel free to follow me there at http://twitter.com/TelecomSolution
My personal message to the potential inhabitants of the alien planet was ”Do not judge our species by the action of our governments, please.”
